Taur Mittran Di received moderate opening of 22 lacs. The film did average at the premium multiplexes but was below the mark elsewhere. It would have been a good opening a year back but the growth in Punjabi Cinema Industry means that anything less than 30 lakhs for a major release is disappointing. In comparison "Mirza - The Untold Story" released earlier did massive business of around 60 lacs.
